- Try Not Choose A Brand Name That Will Be Hard To Rank For!!
- Identify Your Competitors and Research into their key brand search terms to identify what users WILL search for as your brand popularizes.
- Using keyword research tools can also help you to identify further opportunities and give you the highest volume iteration variations of the terms you should be targeting.
- Once you have your volumes you need to map them to a URL / or a piece of content on a URL and ensure that the content is optimised to meet this.

- Is your preferred domain available?

- Research into their site content, suggested searches and SERPs results
- Use keyword research tools to help you to identify further opportunities and give you the search volumes for your chosen terms

- Have you identified overlaps with your product and existing products?

Unaware Audience Longtail Keyword Strategy
Identify longtail opportunities to get in front of those people who are totally unaware of your brand, product and even category!
- Identify seed keywords from your brand or related topics
- Use keyword research tools to expand these into long tail queries and questions
- Use the SERPs – People Also Ask, Autocomplete and other Rich Results to give you ideas of how you should be presenting your content
- Go deeper! Use forums and comments sections of sites to really understand the hot topics in your category
Unaware Content Checklist
- Are you looking for long tail search terms and questions around your competitor brands
- Have you checked keyword research tools such as answer the public for questions related to your product / category.
- Are you checking the SERPs for different ranking content types?
- Have you set up Google alerts for competing brands
- Are you meeting those queries with the correct type of content?
