Facebook ‘Organ Donor’ Status

Facebook yesterday added a new option to the Facebook Timeline – you can now set you organ donor status. You can also share your story of becoming a donor, including when, where and why. If you are not currently registered as an organ donor, Facebook are also providing an official link to a donor registry.

Facebook has definitely become more socially conscious, with other recent additions including an anti bullying initiative and a suicide referral scheme.

So if you want your organ donor status to be shared with the Facebook world – and save a life in the long run, here’s how:

Go to your Facebook Timeline > Click on ‘Life Events’ > ‘Health & Wellness’ > ‘Organ Donor’
