I want an iPad
by Hannah Sinclair | 09.03.2012
I’m not going to lie, or pretend otherwise, I am insanely jealous of anyone I see with an iPad. When the first generation went on sale back in April 2010 I was a bit of a cynic and very much in the opinion that my mac could do everything and more than the iPad, so what was the point? In the last 6 months this has changed and the latest release is making me seem even more like a stroppy child who doesn’t have the latest toy.
The only thing that is stopping me is the horrendous price tag which has been attached to each new release. The new iPad is ‘starting from £399’ and not classed as a necessity on my list of things to buy. Upon the release of the new iPad, the iPad 2 did drop in price. But who would want the old version, when the new one looks so shiny and pretty? And to be fair the iPad 2 is still ‘starting from £329’ – not exactly the biggest discount!
So I’ve decided I’m going to wait a little longer until I make the jump. Well at least until I can find a genuine reason and use for having one!
– Also why have they not named the new iPad? Why is it not the iPad 3??
