I went to a very interesting talk on Monday by Tracy Falke. The thing I really liked is how she confirmed the link between Social and SEO – both start with keyword research and both are reliant on great content that needs to be spun out to target your different audiences. I didn’t agree with her ROI models versus PPC – but hey its early doors in tracking Social so I expect to see some creative numbers in people’s presentations. Finally, I appreciated one of her slides that completely mirrored Tug’s view on how Social and other SEM techniques fit into the Purchase Cycle: namely SEO for Awareness; Social for Consideration and Engagement; PPC for Conversion.
Still waiting for her actual presentation so watch this space for some more interesting Social facts later this week (I hope!)
