Way Back Wednesday: Kijiji.ca

Welcome back to another edition of Way Back Wednesday! We’ve decided this time round to inject Canadian flavour to our time travels by visiting Kijiji.ca, a Canadian classified ads listing website owned by eBay.
The site should prove familiar to many Canadians and is often seen as the competitor to Craigslist in the country. By coming in as the 8th most visited site in Canada I’d think many Canadians would have came across the website at some point since its launch in 2005.
What I find remarkable is that the layout of classified ads listings has hardly changed since 2005, with additions primarily focused on new technologies (Google’s Play Store) and social media (Facebook social button). A similar situation arises with other classified ad listing sites, like the Dutch Marktplaats.nl.
