Search Trend Thursday: Star Wars vs Star Trek

Welcome to another edition of Search Trend Thursday! This week we’ve summoned the geek within us (or, if you’re like myself, didn’t need to summon it) by pitting the “Stars” against each other in an epic online battle of search trendiness.

Considering the release of the new Star Trek film this May, I was surprised to find Star Trek trailing as much as it is in web interest. However, it’s worth mentioning that Star Wars does seem to have the advantage over its arch sci fi nemesis in the form of other media, for example LEGO sets, games… or even Angry Birds, Star Wars edition.
