YouTube Introduces One Channel Design

by David Brooks | 08.03.2013
Since early February, YouTube have been testing a new revamped channel page with a focus on uniformity across devices. Yesterday they released it to the public for anyone to use on their channel. Users of Google Plus will feel a bit of deja vu as they have taken the same simple design ethos used on Google Plus. Using this style will allow channels to ensure users get the same design across PCs, Mobiles, Tablets and even TVs. One new feature is a trailer which all users visiting the page will first see when arriving, the idea behind this is users will be enticed to browse the channel and hopefully subscribe. They have also introduced new sections which allow channels to organise their content more efficiently, be it likes, uploads or playlists. Check out YouTube’s official introduction video below or read more here.
