Search Trend Thursday: London vs New York

Search Trend Thursday returns for a fourth week, and we’ve decided to pit our loving home of London against its American friend, New York.
It’s not hard to see from the screenshot below that London leads the web search interest contest, and has done the majority of the time between 2004 and 2013. Gambians also seem particularly keen on searching for London, and Haitians for New York.
It would be fair to point out that London has had a distinct advantage with the Olympics having taken place during the Summer of 2012 and while it may not have won the gold medal battle, it’s still the winner in web interest.
