Google maps navigates 5,000 mile South Asia trek

by Ben Romberg | 20.11.2012
Winston Fiore, a former US Marine, began a 5,000 mile journey across Southeast Asia by navigating his way using Google Maps on his smarphone. Fiore set out on his trek using directions and leaving markers along his way using an Android phone to navigate through towns, mountains and villages across the continent.

His journey aimed to demonstrate the technology but also raise funds for children to receive cleft surgery via charity Smile Trek
