Google Chrome’s latest ad tells the story of Julie Deane, a British mum-of-two who starts a global fashion craze from her kitchen table. The ad charts the rise of Julie Deane & The Cambridge Satchel Company using different online platforms including social media channels google+ and youtube to spread the word about her products. In quick succession the ad shows how Julie went from creating the satchel idea to becoming a hit with fashion vloggers and bloggers, making a significant dent in the fashion world by selling tens of thousands of satchels.

It’s an inspiring ad and shows how social media marketing falls cleanly into the online marketing mix.
