The Internet Map

by Ben Romberg | 24.09.2012
The Internet Map is a graphic of links between websites on the Internet detailed by their relative size. Every site is a circle on the map, and its size is determined by website traffic has an orbit of smaller sites affiliated with or directly working together. Users switch between websites and this creates a link between multiple sites, and the stronger the link, the closer the websites tend to arrange themselves e.g. Twitter and Instagram.

The map details over 300,000 websites from 195 countries in multiple different domain zones, making it one of the most comprehensive maps of the Internet.
