Google announces public tests of Project Glass
Google today announced it is beginning public tests of augmented reality glasses named “Project Glass”. A group from Google started Project Glass to build a new kind of technology, one that helps the user explore and share their world. Google are sharing this information now because they want to start a conversation and learn from your input.
Google has fired the opening salvo in the race to bring eyeglass computing software to the consumer. The company is uniquely well positioned (above the likes of Apple and Facebook) as it currently has Android, Google+, Google Maps, Gmail, Gchat, Gcal, Latitude, and many more besides.
