Google+ Loses 60 Percent Of Active Users

by Faye Daffarn | 11.10.2011
Oh dear Google+.  After a storming start and a whopping increase of 1200% in traffic when invite only changed to public beta, Google+ seems to be in a spot of bother when trying to keep hold of its active users.  Traffic peaked on 22nd/23rd September but has since fallen by 60%.  The problem doesn’t seem to be getting people to join, as Google has a massive database from which to recruit, but more how to keep people on board and using their social networking program. Users are obviously interested to try out the relatively new Google+, but also still look for and return to the time-tested structure of Facebook.
