The Google +1 button has more presence on the web than the Twitter button

by Tug Agency | 12.07.2011

Just a month after its release, Google’s social button has already gained ground when compared to Twitter. The Google +1 button has also been integrated with Google

This was revealed BrigthEdge, a provider of SEO platforms for companies. They looked at the 10 000 biggest sites on the Internet and discovered that the Google button is used in 4.5% of them, while Twitter is used in only 3.4% of them, 2% is for the “tweet now” button and 1.4% for the “follow us” button

Of course, none of them come close to Facebook, which has a  20% (Like, Like Box, Connect and Recommendations), but this reveals a breakthrough in the presence of +1, which will benefit from its integration with Google + … Google’s new social network which already has more than 5 million users.

P.S. I’m still waiting for my Google + invite … they better hurry up if they don’t want a bad review!
