The importance of the 404 Error page

The 404 Error page is a page displayed by the web server if the user tries to access a page that does not exist.

This is one of the elements of a website that should be customized for our site, because the default page that appears is a standard browser page that look like this:

What is particularly interesting is that you can customize this page so that the visitor knows immediately that they are on our site, and that the page they are looking for does not exist, but they can try and find something else within the site.

The main reason why to have a personalized 404 Error page is to lower the bounce rate and to avoid losing new visitors
