New Facebook Profile

by Nick Beck | 09.06.2010
After all that privacy backlash against Facebook, we were starting to think the era of celebrity profiles might be coming to an end. Well not true – the latest ‘celeb’ to join the ranks of Facebook users is our old friend George W. Bush. He’s already got over 73,000 friends! I can’t wait to trawl through and determine how many are arms dealers and oil barons. But all joking aside this continues to prove that Facebook is here to stay as a social networking communication channel, with worldwide appeal and resonance.

Here’s an update from Dubya:

Since leaving office, President Bush has remained active. He has visited 20 states and 8 countries; given over 65 speeches; launched the George W. Bush Presidential Center; participated in 4 policy conferences through The Bush Institute; finished the first draft of his memoir, “Decision Points”; and partnered with President Clinton to establish the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. More on his activities in future posts…

How exciting! what will he do next?
