Apple gains marketshare in the mobile gaming market
Apple seems to be making quite a dent in the mobile gaming market. When we compare the iPhone and iPod Touch to the Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable, it seems that the Apple surged in 2009.
Apple’s mobile devices are thought to account for 5% of all U.S. video game software revenue. Flurry reported – “Controlling 5 percent revenue of a $10 billion industry in just a year and a half is significant,” . “From a market share perspective, console games lost ground to portable platforms and iPhone.
