Nick founded Tug on the belief that search marketing was the first channel to bring Media and Creative back together into the same agency. With over 17 years of digital marketing experience, Nick’s advertising life started as a suit, servicing clients such as American Express, Unilever, Yahoo, IBM, Royal Mail and Mercedes Benz for Oglivy Interactive and JWT. That blue chip experience coupled with a passion for digital media has helped Nick to build Tug into a global media agency that truly delivers to a client’s bottom line. His stated aim is simply to build an agency that ambitious clients want to work with and ambitious people want to work for
One of the original digital marketers, starting a digital agency in 1996, which was sold to WPP in 2000. Since then Dan has held creative, digital & strategy roles at JWT, Crayon and Karmarama. As CSO at Tug, ensuring that audience, cultural and market insight are driving thinking that gets clients an advantage in ever more complex, competitive markets. Peter is the Finance Director at Tug and has over 15 years of post-qualification experience across media and technology companies including TV, film and publishing. Peter has worked with rapidly growing companies in the UK, Europe and in the US managing their evolving funding, structure and reporting requirements.
Barney is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the agency and delivery of the work. He’s worked in marketing and production for 30 years, and in agencies since 1999 including Ogilvy, Dare and AnalogFolk. Barney has worked across a wide range of clients, including General Motors, MINI and BMW; IBM, Microsoft and HP; Unilever and Nestle; BT, Royal Mail and the Post Office; Heineken and The Absolut Group; HSBC, Barclays and Barclaycard; Sainsbury’s; Sony and Philips, Vodafone & Sony Ericsson.
Faye ensures the very highest levels of client servicing across Tug, whilst building strong client relationships and identifying and converting new business opportunities with her team. Faye has looked after blue chip clients such as Aon, Barbour and Merlin Entertainments, Estee Lauder and Vodafone. Faye has particular experience in multi-lingual projects, working with central and local teams plus running training & workshops for clients. Previously Faye spent 5 years at bigmouthmedia in the Search arena and also BUPA.
Eoin is responsible for the overall SEO strategy and performance across all clients. Working across Tug’s client portfolio leading global & local SEO strategies. Prior to joining Tug Eoin headed up the SEO offering at Walker Media working on a range of clients including Fiat, The Health Lottery, Barclays and KFC.
Justin is responsible for paid media activity at Tug. Passionate about audience, attribution & data. With over 11 years’ experience working across some of the UK’s largest advertisers, previous roles include working at two of the world’s largest network agencies Dentsu Aegis and GroupM. Attention to detail, innovation and technology are fundamental to Justin’s approach.
With eight years of experience from private consultancy, developing social media strategies at leading creative digital agencies and heading up the social media and editorial departments at HeyHuman and VCCP Kin, Emily specialises in the successful development of content strategies geared towards solving the business and marketing challenges of her clients. Her track record includes creating campaign and always on content for a client portfolio including easyJet, O2, Kia, Coors Light, Sony Mobile GB, Unilever UK & Australia, P&O Cruises, Mondelez and Merlin Entertainments.
With eight years’ experience in digital marketing and a specialism in programmatic, Neil is responsible for new business within Tug. Neil works closely with new clients to understand their business, identify their drivers and pain points, in-order to deliver tailored marketing plans that meet the clients objectives. Having worked with organisations like Nissan, Sage, Amnesty and Sky, he understands a diverse range of industries and the challenges they face.
With responsibility across client services and the business development function of the agency, James is focused on developing new revenue streams for clients through innovative use of media. As well as maintaining excellent client service levels within the department. Prior to joining Tug, James worked at Ogilvy on the global Land Rover account. Prior to this he gained international experience working with American Express, Glenfiddich, Cisco and the BBC.
Shane is responsible for running our Australian office. A passionate individual with an enviable record of ROI planning and how this can create positive Business solutions for our clients. Prior to joining Tug Shane worked at some of Australia’s leading media agencies, OMD, Ikon and PHD. With over 16 years’ experience, Shane has had great success with some of Australia’s most iconic Brands: Westpac Group, Telstra, Greenstone Financial Services, Virgin Money and Virgin Atlantic.
Sean is responsible for running our Canadian office; delivering exceptional results and customer service to our Canadian, American and Global clients. He is a dedicated, driven and enthusiastic digital marketer with over 15 years’ experience leading at top media companies in Canada including Warner Bros, TIME Inc, Rogers Media and VICE. Sean has created multiple award-winning programs for clients across digital, traditional and new media platforms including MIAs for Microsoft and General Motors.
