Maternity Cover

Reporting to the Financial Manager, the Finance Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day processing of UK finance transactions during the maternity cover period.
Tug is seeking to appoint a well organised, motivated individual, able to work to deadlines and communicate across a fast-paced media agency. Previous experience in a finance role in a media agency is essential.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Processing of supplier invoices, credit card transactions and employee expenses
  • Daily maintenance of the cash book with multiple currencies
  • Setting up supplier payments for approval
  • Day to day credit control
  • Processing customer receipts
  • Calculate billing and generating sales invoices
  • Reconciling client media balances held
  • Reconciling bank accounts and credit card balances
  • Producing other reconciliations and reports as required

What skills we require:

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar finance role
  • Proficient in the use of Excel and Google Sheets
  • Excellent attention to detail, good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, processes, and procedures
  • A team player with the ability to work under their own initiative and pressure but to know when to ask for help
  • Experience of QuickBooks is preferred
