Programmatic Account Manager

About the role

Tug requires a Programmatic Account Manager to join our growing Media team. We are a results driven agency that treats all clients equally – no matter what their budget, our objective is to continually improve their campaigns. We have a wide range of clients across many interesting verticals. Tug offers its clients integrated PPC, Media Planning & Buying, SEO, and Social Media solutions. We are a fun, ambitious and innovative digital agency looking for an energetic professional.

This role would be ideal for someone currently in an agency programmatic role but would also be great for someone in a broader Planner/Buyer, Trading or Ad Ops role that wants to transition into a programmatic planning & buying specialism. 


Line Manager: Group Media Manager

External Relationships:  Blue chip and SME clients on both marketing and technical teams 

Internal Relationships:   MD, CMO, Head of Paid Media, SEO team, Client Services, New Business

Salary:  Competitive Salary (depending on experience)

Hours:  9.30am-6.00pm

Main Duties

Main duties

The Account Manager will be responsible for the client’s programmatic accounts including strategy, planning and execution.

  • Managing use of DV360 (and GMP suite) as primary DSP and recommend other, specialist DSPs (e.g. Amazon) where required
  • Set up new accounts across multiple channels including (but not limited to) Banner, Video, YouTube, OOH & Audio
  • Day to day contact with clients, media owners and tech providers
  • Operational lead and management of existing accounts across multiple verticals & countries
  • Ensure accounts achieve client’s KPIs and business objectives
  • Forecasting KPIs and cost for new and existing accounts
  • Management of tracking, analysis and insight
  • Weekly & Monthly internal and client reporting
  • Face to face meetings with clients
  • Managing client needs and expectations
  • Daily optimisation of accounts for continual improvement
  • Innovative and strategic thinking on all client activity

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

  • 2-3 years minimum programmatic experience – preferably agency side 
  • Expert user of self-serve DSPs such as DV360 or The Trade Desk
  • Experience using DCO tools
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts & strategies
  • Proven ability to think strategically for media clients
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Advanced Excel user
  • Articulate with good writing and client facing skills
  • Analytics package knowledge
  • Team player
