About the role:
Tug requires a strategic, results focused & hands on SEO Account Director to join the team.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of creating, leading and delivering successful SEO campaign strategies for their clients. In this role they will be responsible for owning senior client relationships, supporting in development and management of account managers and execs within the team and support in new business development.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Formulation and execution of SEO strategies that deliver measurable client outcomes
- Hands on in key client deliverables
- Provide strategic direction to the team to improve client performance
- Business development involvement from pitch strategy development to project scoping & forecasting
- Be the senior client contact for your teams clients.
- Be active in helping us to constantly push innovation and development in everything we do
- Take responsibility for SEO Account Managers and Execs development and progression within the team.
- Review the quality of team deliverables and help them to improve quality and delivery
- Play an active role in recruitment across the team
- Develop internal processes to improve efficiencies within the team
- Ensure planning and finance processes are adhered to ensure accounts remain effective and profitable.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the SEO team.
The ideal candidate has:
- 4-5 years+ experience, ideally within an agency
- Proven experience in delivering SEO strategies that drive measurable results.
- Expert in developing SEO approaches and hands on experience covering:
- Content strategy and development
- Technical SEO
- Link acquisition strategies
- Qualified and/or highly experienced in analytics tools relevant to SEO (GA, GSC etc.)
- Outstanding team development skills and experience in motivating teams
- Proven ability to build client relationships.
- Passionate about SEO and staying at the forefront of innovation and technology.
- Proactive and lateral thinker, able to break down complex problems.
- Methodical in planning and forecasting
- Fanatical about detail and analytical in approach
